An early 20th-century Waldkater Keramik No.113 'ziegenböckchen' terracotta model of a kid goat in a white glaze, with impressed and painted marks to the underside.
Little is known about the ceramicist. She and her husband Walter Kieser had a joint workshop in Dessau from 1919. In 1925, the Waldkaterkeramik GmbH was opened. There, the couple focused mainly on animal figurines; Friede Kieser-Maruhn died in 1947. The work they generated garnered worldwide acclaim and remain in high-quality private collections to this day. Some of their works can still be found in public spaces, particularly in Dessau.
Overall condition is very good with no visible chips or marks.
