A coopered oval punch bowl comprising coopered oak staves bound in two brass banding rings and finished off at either end with 2 brass lion head ring handles. Traditionally used to contain iced water and other drinks, this is an unusual example, as these are typically seen made of silver or silver plate. Small punch or wine glasses would be hooked between the scalloped edging and suspended facing inwards.
A beautiful item and in superb condition.
