A superb Regency period mahogany and brass inlaid bow-fronted gentleman's dressing chest. This stunning piece of bedroom furniture features a top with Coromandel and brass-strung banding above a retractable brushing slide and three graduated drawers, with each having brass stringing to the face. The upper of these has an adjustable mirror, an arrangement of lidded divisions and compartments, and a lift-out pen tray. Flanked on either side by spirally turned columns set with brass wheels to the top, and elaborately turned feet to both the front and rear.
A rare and attractive piece of Regency furniture in remarkable overall condition, with age-related wear and tear.
A charming bedroom centrepiece.
