A wonderful 17th-century joined oak coffer with a triple-panel lid having moulded framework above twin side panels and a four-panel facade. The frieze rail is enriched with a carved & nail-punched geometric band & the plain front panels are centered by a broad muntin emblazoned with a flowering plant defined against a recessed ground. Finished on moulded stiles.
In solid, gently worn, original condition. Wear and tear commensurate with use.
