A stunning late 18th-century George III mahogany cross-banded oak dresser of country house proportions measuring just over 7' wide.
Featuring a moulded cornice above a waterfall three-plate rack sat atop a wonderful base with a crossbanded top, below which there is an arrangement of nine drawers. The drawer fronts also have crossbanding and, additionally, cockbeaded edges, brass handles and brass lock escutcheons. Centrally, a pair of panel doors open to reveal a storage area with two useful shelves. Finished on bracket feet with extra supports to the centre.
As shown in the images, the top and base can be used together or separated if just the base is required.
Overall condition is wonderful given the age. In extremely solid order and with a rich deep colour. fine example of a late 18th-century dresser that would be a magnificent addition to a large kitchen or kitchen diner area.
